Flow

Test the path to your Stripe checkout

Most lost sales happen before the card form: a plan users cannot choose, a cart that forgets an item, a coupon field that rejects lowercase codes. Agents test that whole path and stop at the payment form.

How do I test a Stripe checkout flow before launch?

Test the payment itself with Stripe's test mode and test cards, and test the path to it with people who have never seen your app. Mimiq's agents do the second part: they pick a plan, fill in the cart or sign-up, apply a coupon and reach the Stripe payment form, then stop. They never type a card, test cards included.

The checkout before the checkout

Stripe's hosted payment form is well tested. The pages before it are yours: the pricing table, the plan toggle, the seat selector, the account step, the coupon field. That is where people give up, and where a JavaScript error leaves the "Continue" button doing nothing.

  • Agents pick a plan and reach the payment form, then stop.
  • They never type a card, including test cards.
  • Failed requests and JavaScript errors on the way, from the browser itself.
  • Where each agent hesitated, in its own words.

How it works

  1. 01

Give it a link and a task

A preview, staging or the live app, and a task in plain words like "Sign up and start using it". No test scripts.

  2. 02

    Agents use it

5 agents by default, each acting as a different one of your users in its own real browser, with a working inbox for verification emails.

  3. 03

    Read what they hit

What broke, what the browser recorded (JavaScript errors, failed and slow requests), where each agent got stuck and why, with a screenshot of every step.

  4. 04

    Fix and rerun

Run the same agents on the fixed build, by hand, from your coding agent, or on every preview deploy with the GitHub Action.

Write the task to stop at payment

"Pick the plan that fits a team of five, apply the code LAUNCH20, and reach the payment form. Stop there." Agents stop at the payment step regardless, but saying so keeps the report clean.

Then test the payment

Use Stripe test mode and its test cards for the payment, webhooks and receipts. Agents and a scripted payment test cover different halves of the same flow.

Limits

Agents are simulated users. They find problems fast and on every build; they do not forecast how many real people will convert, they are not a deterministic regression suite, and they do not install native mobile apps.

40steps at most for each agent, each in its own real browser. Every step comes with a screenshot and what the agent was thinking at the time.
20agents at once, each acting as a different one of your users. The browser also records every error, failed request and request slower than 3 seconds on your site, on the step it happened. Agents find problems; they do not forecast how many people will convert.
$0for your first test, with a free account (Google sign-in, no card). It includes 50 credits, enough for 10 agents. After that an agent uses 5 credits, and packs start at $9 for 120 credits.

Questions

Why don't the agents complete the payment?

Agents never type payment cards, so no run can spend money by mistake. Test the card step with Stripe test mode.

Does it work with Stripe Checkout and Payment Links?

Yes, up to the payment form, which is where agents stop.
